A newly created opportunity is available for a CA qualified professional with well-developed analytical skills that will assess technical regulatory requirements on behalf of the bank.

Your role will be to provide internal advisory insights and interpret regulatory reporting requirements with a business context and communicate these insights to numerous stakeholders across the business. Specifically, you will advise and interpret balance sheet and statistical regulatory reporting requirements for regulators including APRA, RBA and ABS.

You will collaborate with internal data experts, risk management and other business units at the senior level to reconfirm interpretations relating to regulatory requirements as well as document key assumptions and interpretations surrounding regulatory returns and ensure that senior management are kept updated on relevant amendments.

Ideally you will be at the Senior Manager / Associate Director level currently in a Big 4 Audit firm. You will have developed a technical expertise within financial services from a Big 4 advisory/audit environment that has exposed you to regulatory reporting. Ideally you will have experience in relation to the APS 310 regulatory engagement and have the capacity to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders with differing remits. An analytical mindset and a desire to work independently will also be valued.
