About the role
The Human Resources Director is an integral part of the Senior Leadership team responsible for the development and control of all functions and strategies for human resources, industrial relations and people performance to be aligned with the Company vision and strategic objectives.
As the HR Director, you will instill the core values that continue to define the company culture and guide daily interaction and decision making. Each employee has a personal responsibility to recognise the behaviours that support these principles and put them into daily practice.
Your role will involve reviewing and implementing strategic objectives for people in line with the organisation's strategy as well as assisting in developing appropriate organisational structures and provide support for the resulting change management process.
With the newly created APAC Head Office now in Perth, the HR Director will ensure all HR Policies and Processes are legally compliant in all jurisdictions and followed and utilised throughout PHI.
Within Employee Relations, you will be providing advice and support on all ER/IR matters and ensure that PHI complies with employment related legislation.
A huge part of the role is Industrial Relations, and you will be developing and updating a sound organisation wide industrial relations strategy, along with leading and managing collective / enterprise bargaining employment negotiation processes.
As part of Employee Capability; designing, developing, and executing best-practice initiatives for core human resources policies and programs, including succession and career planning, performance appraisals, recruitment, onboarding and employee retention is a major role requirement.
Systems management is a high priority meaning you will manage the development and maintenance of the HRIS and the HR related data available on SharePoint. This also includes ensuring HR policies and process are placed on the intranet for easy access for managers and staff.
You will also be a "people person" who will proactively identify other people related areas where PHI could improve and enhance their performance. This includes overseeing and providing strong mentorship to a team of human resources professionals through effective training, coaching and team building.
About you
You will already be an experienced and accomplished HR Director. You will have a Tertiary qualification in HR or another related field, and be a Generalist HR professional across all or most facets of business, primarily with commercial acumen. You will have a sound knowledge of best practice in HR, bringing both strategic and tactical experience to the table. Your ability to get into the hearts and minds of people will be your forte. You will also have a track record and a strength in Industrial Relations strategy and conducting negotiations. Equally you will have a broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
