Head of Governance
Our client is a significant Australian investment manager with over $100 billion of assets under management. As the organisation undertakes a transformation that aims at enhancing the robust nature of its governance framework, an opportunity is open for an experienced senior financial services compliance expert to join their organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer you will have ownership of the development, implementation and management of the organisation's compliance and governance functions and frameworks. There will be a focus on policy development, risk reporting, staff management, the delivery of effective training and working alongside the business in order to apply current regulatory compliance obligations from a global and local perspective. In addition, you will play a leading role in the provision of advice and assurance when interpreting regulatory requirements, prepare risk management reports to the Board and oversee initiatives designed to close compliance shortfalls.
To be considered you must have significant senior level experience in managing governance complexities and developing an appropriate and effective compliance culture. It is essential that you have highly developed financial services exposure which has provided you with a broad level of exposure to the domestic and international legal and regulatory environment. Ideally you will have previously created board reports and associated committee submissions along with a track record in coordinating compliance risk management frameworks.
You must have Australian work rights to apply.
